The Opportunity

The Senior Analyst will drive operational excellence and product performance for Ally’s Aftermarket and Contracts teams through rigorous, actionable analytics. This requires a dedicated and focused professional to translate data into insights, to recommend enhancements/improvements to product offerings based on sound analysis and deliver measurable outcomes that strengthen our competitive position and support new business growth. As a member of our team, you will be required to respond quickly to business opportunities as they arise while maintaining day-to-day operational activities.

Work Itself
  • Build and maintain dashboards that track product KPIs by processor and by product.
  • Conduct trend and variance analyses to identify underperforming products/processes and quantify root causes.
  • Produce monthly product performance reports with recommended actions and expected impact.
  • Create exception monitoring reports; quantify impact of exceptions by product and reason of exceptions.
  • Map current‑state workflows for form review, final validation, exceptions; measure cycle times, error rates, and rework.
  • Identify bottlenecks and design data‑driven process changes; pilot and measure improvements.
  • Create standardized report specs and automate recurring data pulls to reduce manual effort.
  • Own daily/weekly/monthly reporting deliverables (data quality checks, reconciliation).
  • Develop tools and metrics to compare expected vs. actual performance; maintain a variance log with remediation plans.
  • Conduct departmental analytics audits to ensure compliance with guidelines, document findings and corrective actions.
  • Support new product launches with demand forecasts, recommend operational changes to improve adoption.
  • Respond to time‑sensitive business questions with clear, concise analysis and executive‑ready summaries.
  • Design and execute tests for product features or operational changes.
The Skills You Bring
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    3+ years of experience, High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    3+ years in analytics, product management, or risk within financial services or insurance/aftermarket products; 2+ years leadership experience preferred;
    Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred; programming experience; advanced knowledge of PC applications (Excel and MS Office suite); ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations with measurable results; strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; comfortable handling ambiguity and prioritizing high‑impact work.
  • Must be flexible and eager to learn new processes and systems; exhibit critical thinking skills and problem‑solving abilities; remain comfortable in a changing environment.
  • Candidate should possess cognitive thought process abilities necessary to ensure all programming is completed accurately and effectively.
