Tanaq Management Services (TMS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services as well as information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in the health, agriculture, technology, and other government services. TMS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) that is committed to serving federal customers while also contributing to the Tanaq native community and shareholders.

We are seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to support a project for one of our federal clients. The analyst leads enterprise-level analysis efforts to strengthen workforce productivity and the collaboration ecosystem, including SharePoint and related platforms. Acting as a strategic liaison among senior stakeholders, the role uncovers organizational needs, translates indirect business requirements into actionable specifications, and guides the development of high‑value solutions.

The analyst drives high⇩profile initiatives delegated by senior leadership and may mentor or supervise other analysts while collaborating closely with development teams to ensure successful execution and adoption of enterprise collaboration technologies.

This is a fully remote, United States‑based position for a temporary assignment of three months (January–March 2026) contingent upon contract award.

• Conduct analysis with project stakeholders; plan the execution of business analysis tasks and communication, and adapt approaches as needed

• Identify and define business needs and opportunities for improvement, develop the business case, understand organizational culture and structure, determine solution approach, and define the solution scope.
• Develop advanced business analysis within a significant segment of the organization where advice and decisions will have measurable impact.
• Determine requirements using workshops, interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, task and workflow analysis, prototyping, focus groups, and use cases.
• Establish the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, define strategies, validate and justify business needs, conduct feasibility studies, produce high‑level and detailed business models, prepare business cases, oversee development and implementation of solutions, and consider change implications on the organization and stakeholders.
• Evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, segment high‑level information into details, and abstract from low‑level information to a general understanding.
• Progressively elaborate the stated requirements dr elifying the business need within the specified solution scope; validate that requirements meet the business need; verify other analysts’ requirements for quality and maintainability.
• Document business, task, and workflow processes using industry‑standard methods (process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, diagrams, flow charts, etc.) to enable design of solutions.
• Assess solutions to ensure strategic goals are met and requirements satisfied, including assessment of internal designs, test cases, test plans, and manual procedures; define acceptance criteria, identify defects, and define/validate corrective actions; assess organizational readiness; develop metrics and KPIs to align the solution with desired business outcomes.
• Ensure stakeholders share a consistent understanding of business and solution requirements, resolve conflicts and risks, secure formal approval of solution requirements, and provide timely access to deliverables and documentation; tailor communication for senior executives; maintain full requirements traceability and oversee end‑to‑end lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers and SMEs to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance.
