General Ledger Accountant — Lansing, MI (Onsite)

Pay: $55,000 - $65,000
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full Time

The company designs and builds custom industrial machinery by global manufacturers across automotive and industrial markets. This role is fully on site.

General Ledger & Close

• Maintain the general ledger, including preparation of journal entries (accruals, prepaids, depreciation, adjustments).

• Support full month-end and year-end close within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts including bank accounts, credit cards, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.

Accounts Payable

• Manage full-cycle AP, including:

  • Invoice processing and 3-way match

  • Vendor setup and maintenance

  • Payment runs and check processing

  • Vendor statement reconciliations

  • AP aging review and vendor inquiries

• Coordinate with the company’s India-based accounting partner handling portions of billing and support process alignment.

• Assist with ongoing initiatives to evaluate automation/AI opportunities in accounting workflows.

• 5+ years of accounting experience

• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience

• Hands-on full-cycle Accounts Payable experience

• Proficiency working within an ERP/accounting system

• Accounting or related degree

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

• Background in manufacturing or distribution environments

• Exposure to ERP implementations or system improvements
