Life Enrichment Coordinator
Responsible for planning and implementing activity programs that meet the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of residents in a community setting.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and facilitate resident activities for large groups, small groups, and individualized participation.
- Comply with community personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Report any allegations of resident abuse or neglect to the Executive Director, RCC, or Unit Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident and family information.
- Keep accurate documentation required by state and federal regulations.
- Input data into the Minimum Data Set and support the plan of care and other assessments.
- Coordinate recruitment, retention, and involvement of volunteers with residents.
- Assist in the delivery of resident mail, newsletters and community information.
- Coordinate restorative programs that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
- Support staff functions and activities to increase staff morale.
- Regular worksite attendance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Use a vehicle for business purposes may be required; must complete Company’s Motor Vehicles policy.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Work beyond normal hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Use a transfer/gait belt or obtain assistance when lifting or carrying objects in excess of 25 lbs.
- Lift up to 10 lbs frequently; 11‑25 lbs rarely; 26‑50 lbs occasionally; over 50 lbs occasionally.
- Carry up to 10 lbs frequently; 11‑25 lbs rarely; 26‑50 lbs occasionally; over 50 lbs occasionally.
- Reach above shoulder height frequently; below shoulder height frequently.
- Push/Pull frequently.
- Handle constant hand manipulation and occasional torque.
- Perform twisting, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing as required.
- Operate an automobile and various games as required.
- Work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and hostile people within the community.
- Basic computer skills.
- English language proficiency.
- Ability to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, and holidays.
