A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a vital role in our community. You provide total care for our residents, starting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral care, and catheter care.
You perform care as defined by the resident plan of care/CNA assignment card and reposition residents as required. With a close eye for detail, you record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, and conduct range of motion as needed.
You observe and report changes in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior. You maintain confidentiality, follow HIPPA regulations, and uphold facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)- Completed a state‑approved Nurse Aide Training Program
- Current Kansas certification/registration to practice
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
