Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various hotel systems and equipment. Our Maintenance Technicians are thorough professionals with a practical mindset and attention to detail. The ideal candidate can work independently or as part of a team and must adhere to all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to keep the buildings and common areas in optimal condition.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, report, and correct potential safety hazards (e.g., broken doors, railings, fire hazards) and notify supervisors of damages, deficits, and disturbances.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet, and tile floor repairs and maintenance.
  • Carry out painting, minor roof repairs, and exterior projects.
  • Repair pool and exercise room equipment as needed.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and replenish as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and management to complete technical and skilled projects.
  • Prepare reports during each shift for management.
  • Respond to maintenance needs during bad weather conditions (e.g., snow shoveling, ice melting).

Qualifications

  • Motivated team player with initiative and achievement drive.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving workplace issues.
  • Ability to work well under stress.
  • Timely completion of work orders.
  • Approachable and available to guests, providing excellent service.
  • Willingness to respond promptly to emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures.

Physical Demands

Employees must regularly stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Lifting requirements include up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently. Work hours vary based on occupancy, season, and staffing, and are not guaranteed.
