Responsibilities of Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor:

• Make daily compliance rounds on units to observe, examine, or interview residents, verify information from the ongoing shift, monitor regulatory compliance, and determine staff assignments.
• Monitor delivery of care and services to ensure needs are met, tasks are completed, and that the work of direct care staff is of acceptable quality and quantity.
• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills needed for the facility resident population.
• Must have a working knowledge of laws and regulations that influence the provision of care and services in nursing facilities.
• Provide direct care
• Assume responsibility and accountability for nursing services delivered to residents.
• Administer treatments and medications.
• Supervise direct care.
• Ensure that "Flow of Care" is followed.
• Additional duties as assigned by the DON and ADON.

Requirements for RN Supervisor:

• Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania
• Experience in long-term care, a skilled nursing facility, or a nursing home
• Experience in a supervisory role
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
• CPR Certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
