- Plan, direct, and coordinate a team of engineers to carry out engineering activities.
- Coordinate and direct engineering projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Liaise with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss engineering specifications and procedures.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of engineering requirements and manage the workflow of the engineering department and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
- Manage own team effectively, including recruitment, management of performance and reward issues and planning for succession.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and resource planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customer concerns and set priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 20%. Responsiveness to after‑hours customer inquiries is also required.
