Technical Project Manager; Secret Clearance Security Clearance

Position: Technical Project Manager (Eligible for Secret Clearance) with Security Clearance
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a leading organization in the aerospace and defense industry. The TPM will serve as the technical program lead responsible for bridging hardware and software teams, driving complex system integration efforts, and overseeing multiple high-impact software initiatives.
* This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance Responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager:
• Lead and coordinate software development initiatives across multiple mission-critical projects to ensure alignment with program objectives and delivery timelines.
• Serve as the primary technical program manager for the Software Development Group, overseeing planning, resource allocation, schedules, and milestone tracking.
• Act as the central bridge between hardware and software engineering teams to improve system integration, communication, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and software engineering teams to analyze, design, and integrate complex technical systems.
• Lead and mentor a small team of systems engineers and technical program managers across U.S. and international locations.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, verification and validation activities, and other lifecycle development processes.
• Contribute to the creation, interpretation, and communication of software requirements, design documentation, test plans, and technical specifications. Qualifications of the Technical Project Manager:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or technical program management role.
• Demonstrated success managing complex software projects from requirements definition through deployment.
• Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) is highly preferred.
• Background supporting aerospace, satellite, defense, or similarly complex technical environments.
• Experience creating and maintaining large-scale technical documentation such as requirements specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and test plans.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Compensation for the Technical Project Manager includes:
