Key Rehabilitation Care Worker - Langley - Full Time
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Key Rehabilitation Care Worker position for our program in Langley.
This is a 37.5-hour/week position with the following schedule:
Summary of Job Description:
In consultation with the manager, the Rehabilitation Care Worker – Key Worker provides life skills training, personal care, access to community leisure programs, companionship, housekeeping duties, and support to individuals with a brain injury living in a group home. The role involves creating a safe, natural, clean, home-like environment, empowering residents to be as independent as possible and to achieve an active, productive, and rewarding lifestyle.
The worker collaborates closely with residents, encouraging positive and creative experiences to enhance their quality of life and teach life skills. The key worker supports all residents, with specific responsibilities including booking medical appointments, holding weekly meetings with residents, completing weekly charts, writing monthly reports and schedules, and contributing to the residents’ care plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Recent experience working with the brain-injured or other disabled populations in a group home setting
- Current certification in Emergency First Aid or equivalent & CPR Level A
- Relevant post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Class 5 BC Driver’s License
- Use of a personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and outings
