Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Supervisor to oversee the receiving, stocking, pulling, shipping, and distribution of fresh produce. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day processing of transactions to ensure accuracy, meeting shipping goals and performance standards, and cross-training warehouse team members. Other duties include picking/loading and unloading as well as utilizing an ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the receiving, stocking, pulling, shipping, and distribution of fresh produce.
• Ensure accuracy in the day-to-day processing of all transactions.
• Meet shipping goals and performance standards.
• Cross-train members of the warehouse team.
• Pick, load, and unload shipments.
• Utilize ERP inventory system.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience as a Supervisor.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving.
• Experience in a food warehouse setting.
• ERP inventory system experience.
• Forklift and power pallet jack experience.
• Auditing skills to approve and review shipping documents.
• Good time management skills and the ability to hold people accountable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the fresh produce industry.
• HACCP experience - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points.

Work Environment

Work in an industry-leading wholesale operation with a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires proactive decision-making. Be part of a team of 20-70 staff with varying skill sets. Enjoy a casual dress code with required PPE including steel-toed boots and a safety vest. Shifts include Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, with most likely hours being 8 AM to 4:30 PM after the initial training period.

During training, shifts will rotate between morning, afternoon, and weekend hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Langley, BC.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Langley,BC.
