ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service to retail, internal, and wholesale customers.
  • Help maintain appropriate parts and supply levels through system updates and visual checks; flag low or missing inventory to a supervisor.
  • Assist customers and technicians by identifying correct parts and offering alternatives when exact replacements are unavailable, escalating complex inquiries when required.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records for parts transactions, warranty claims, and inventory tracking.
  • Issue parts to technicians based on approved requisitions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly parts department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and promptly report any incidents to management.
  • Contribute to improved CSI and overall customer satisfaction in alignment with Open Road's customer service philosophy.
  • Participate in periodic inventory counts and assist with identifying obsolete or excess stock.
  • Support the organization and security of the parts department, including proper storage of parts and tools.
  • Look up part numbers, pricing, and availability using the dealership management system.
  • Assist with ordering parts, receiving shipments, and arranging deliveries under the guidance of senior staff.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

REQUIRED:
  • 0-1 year of experience in an automotive parts, dealership, or related support role preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and dealership operations, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Familiarity with dealership or inventory systems is an asset.
  • Understanding of standard procedures for receiving, storing, and issuing parts, with training provided as needed.
  • Ability to accurately enter and maintain records using computerized systems.
  • Ability to follow established processes and work under the direction of senior parts staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with technicians, advisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to receive feedback, ask questions, and continuously improve.
  • Valid British Columbia driver's license.
