Bus Driver - Residents

Cherish at Central Park is seeking a reliable, professional, and safety-focused Part-Time Bus Driver to support our resident outings and transportation services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors, takes pride in safe driving practices, and is looking for meaningful part-time work in a supportive community environment.

• Approximately 7.5 hours per week.
• Two scheduled outings per week.
• Additional hours may be available as needed.

• Provide safe, courteous, and professional driving services for resident outings.
• Operate a 24-passenger diesel shuttle bus.
• Assist residents safely on and off vehicles, including use of mobility lifts.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and cleaning routines.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs and transportation records.
• Work closely with Cherish leadership to coordinate bookings and maximize vehicle usage.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and address mechanical issues in accordance with:
  • National Safety Code (NSC)
  • BC Carrier Safety Guide
• Address any real-time vehicle concerns that may arise during outings.

• Valid Class 4 Driver’s License (minimum requirement).
• Clean driver’s abstract.
• Experience operating passenger buses or shuttle vehicles.
• Experience using wheelchair lifts required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with seniors and supporting mobility needs.
• Professional, punctual, and dependable.
