Must-Have:
- 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor and Delivery experience
- Experience in taking care of OB/GYN patients, Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum care
Description:
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and referral.
Addresses spiritual and psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Circulates during C-sections and attends deliveries, assisting the physician as needed.
Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
Attends the neonatal station in the C-section suite and completely assesses the neonate post-delivery.
Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
Holds NRP certification and is able to identify necessary information to communicate to physicians and patients.
Candidate may be required to assist in another unit depending on facility census.
This will only be as supporting hands or as a sitter.
