Description
Sage West Health Care - The Registered Nurse who assumes the duties of the House Supervisor is an RN who assumes authority and responsibility for hospital operations in the absence of Department Manager and Administrative Team; demonstrates knowledge of hospital administration, patient care service, customer relations, and plant operations; serves to facilitate communication among the five customer groups; initiates conflict resolution and refers these issues to the appropriate manager or director;
maintains a high degree of visibility within the nursing units and serves as a resource and role model for the nursing staff and ancillary in the management of patient care and nursing issues. The RN provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Upholds established Standards of Practice, Standards of care, philosophy, and goals of the Nursing department and organization . Serves as a role model to staff by demonstrating a positive attitude and holistic approach to patient care and a commitment to the nursing process.
Qualifications
- Current RN License in the State of Wyoming
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
- ACLS certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of being in the position.
- PALS certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of being in the position.
- Has good clinical skills and judgment.
- Has the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Has the ability to plan, direct and/or implement and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.
- At least three years clinical nursing experience. ICU/ER experience preferred.
- Ability to make independent decisions and problem solve
- Previous house supervision and/or management experience preferred.
