Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Noble Hotel is two blocks away from the NOLS Rocky Mountain campus in downtown Lander, Wyoming. The Noble houses NOLS students and instructors before and after they embark on their wilderness-based expeditions. Consisting of 50 sleeping rooms, a commercial kitchen, a library, a rec room, and several meeting spaces, the Noble is a bustling hub for the NOLS community. The Student Lodging Coordinator works as a member of the Rocky Mountain team to keep the Noble running smoothly, communicate with all Rocky Mountain students regarding their travel plans, and to serve as a receptionist.

Often the first person that students interact with at the Rocky Mountain campus is the Student

Lodging Coordinator, who plays an essential role in welcoming students and contributing to an environment that encourages them to feel relaxed and supported.

  • Communicate with all Rocky Mountain students before they arrive to start their NOLS course using email, text, and phone (phone provided by NOLS).
  • Help students understand the travel logistics for their course and ensure they plan to arrive on time.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students in the days leading up to their course by answering last-minute travel and course-related questions.
  • Welcome students and instructors to the Noble during peak arrival times.
  • Work with the Noble Manager to ensure front desk coverage during busy check-in and check-out times.
  • Communicate effectively with the Noble Housekeepers to ensure rooms are cleaned and ready on time for guests.
  • Ensure exterior doors are locked and lights are dimmed outside of business hours.
  • Assist teammates as time allows in tasks such as sorting mail, tidying, restocking restrooms, and moving laundry along.
  • Cross training in housekeeping and kitchen prep will be required so that this position can step in and help Noble teammates when necessary.
