Mobile Catering Assistant; Peripatetic

Salary £24,310 per annum (pro‑rata) | Permanent, variable hours | Part time, 16.25 hours per week | Term time in Lancaster |

This role is not open to international sponsorship.

As a Mobile catering assistant you will travel to different schools in and around the Lancaster area to cover where necessary. You must be willing to train as a kitchen supervisor and be able to drive.

Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join the service.

Monday to Friday (Term Time only). Hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake.

• Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture and putting away.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Clean all equipment and catering areas.

• Ability to provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire County.
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
• Good customer‑care skills.
• Previous catering and food preparation experience is desirable.
