IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst
About the Role
The Junior Project Manager works to support the successful delivery of IT initiatives and IT Work streams that are presented inside Business Project Initiatives. The incumbent will act as a key point of contact for project teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication, helping to address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, and collaborating with stakeholders to coordinate work. The role also supports compliance efforts related to contractual commitments.
Foundational knowledge of IT technology (applications, ERP, infrastructure, data, etc.) and PM practices (Waterfall/Agile) is required, along with strong collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams. The incumbent will help the team drive the success of projects and ensure they have a positive impact on the organization.
Assist in the development of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, tasks, and resource requirements.
Schedule and Timeline ManagementMonitor project progress against established timelines and schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
DocumentationFacilitate communication channels with cross‑functional teams and document meeting notes. Maintain accurate project documentation such as project plans, status reports, technical specifications, and meeting minutes.
Communication- Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. This includes providing regular status updates and reports, participating in progress meetings with the IT project team, and tracking/documenting all issues and relevant information.
Help manage and track project resources, such as personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure efficient use, and report to senior team members with regular updates. Assist the team in tracking and preparing reports on project/program progress.
Risk ManagementHelp identify, track, and mitigate potential project risks and roadblocks that could affect delivery, and escalation to senior team members.
Quality AssuranceResearch best practices, tools, and methodologies for project/program management. Monitor industry news and trends, contributing to the research of emerging trends and best practices in project‑management methodologies, information systems, and technologies.
Team SupportContribute ideas and suggestions for improvement and innovation in day‑to‑day project/program activities, answer questions, and help resolve issues as they arise.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Project Management, or at least 2 years of experience in project management or Information Technology.
- 1–2 years of experience in project management focusing on information systems (ideally involving network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, and/or PC deployment).
- Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Solid communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- General knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
- A second European language is a nice to have.
- Travel requirements: up to 25%.
