Job Overview

Apprentice SHE Technician role at Carr's Billington Agriculture (Sales) Ltd. Join our dynamic team based in Lancaster to promote a positive health and safety culture while completing the Level 3 Safety, Health & Environment Apprenticeship and achieving NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Environmental Certificate.

• Work closely with the Head of Health, Safety & Environment to implement and monitor safety policies.
• Assist in developing and updating health and safety policies and procedures based on industry standards and regulations.
• Support the development of informative materials and resources to enhance safety awareness and understanding.
• Facilitate the reporting of incidents, accidents, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Assist the HSE Team in incident investigation and the development of suitable corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents.
• Support the HSE Team in conducting internal audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with external agencies during regulatory inspections and maintain required documentation.
• Coordinate emergency drills and maintain safety equipment.
• Compile and analyse health and safety data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to embed safety into everything we do.
• Adhere to company and group policies and procedures, including those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
• Ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

• Excellent experience of MS Office products and SharePoint.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with in an administrative role.
• Knowledge of the Carr's Billington Business Divisions.
• Practical problem solving.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
• Team player with a genuine interest in helping others.

• IOSH Managing Safely & IOSH Leading Safely.
• Knowledge of working within ISO 45001, 14001 frameworks.
• Full UK driving licence.
