Job Overview
Apprentice SHE Technician role at Carr's Billington Agriculture (Sales) Ltd. Join our dynamic team based in Lancaster to promote a positive health and safety culture while completing the Level 3 Safety, Health & Environment Apprenticeship and achieving NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Environmental Certificate.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Head of Health, Safety & Environment to implement and monitor safety policies.
- Assist in developing and updating health and safety policies and procedures based on industry standards and regulations.
- Support the development of informative materials and resources to enhance safety awareness and understanding.
- Facilitate the reporting of incidents, accidents, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Assist the HSE Team in incident investigation and the development of suitable corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents.
- Support the HSE Team in conducting internal audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with external agencies during regulatory inspections and maintain required documentation.
- Coordinate emergency drills and maintain safety equipment.
- Compile and analyse health and safety data to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with teams across the business to embed safety into everything we do.
- Adhere to company and group policies and procedures, including those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
- Ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

Qualifications Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualities- Excellent experience of MS Office products and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with in an administrative role.
- Knowledge of the Carr's Billington Business Divisions.
- Practical problem solving.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Team player with a genuine interest in helping others.
- IOSH Managing Safely & IOSH Leading Safely.
- Knowledge of working within ISO 45001, 14001 frameworks.
- Full UK driving licence.
