We are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school in Lancaster. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective behaviour management skills. The position starts on the 23rd February 2026 and continues until July 2026, offering a competitive daily rate.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of Year 6 students, ensuring alignment with the KS2 curriculum.
  • Utilise strong behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Prepare students for SATs, employing effective revision strategies and practice assessments.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and educational knowledge.
Required Skills &

Qualifications:
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Experience with SATs preparation is beneficial.
  • Ability to assess student progress effectively and make necessary adjustments to teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a positive learning environment.
