Contract: Full‑time, term time

We are currently recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Bolton
. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and resilient TA who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional and complex needs.

• Support pupils with SEMH needs across the school day, both in the classroom and through targeted 1:1 or small group interventions
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals to support learning, behaviour and emotional regulation
• Use trauma‑informed and restorative approaches to manage behaviour positively
• Help pupils access the curriculum, develop social skills and build emotional resilience
• Support pupils who may display challenging behaviour, ensuring a calm and consistent approach

• Proven experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour or trauma
• Good understanding of behaviour management strategies, emotional regulation and de‑escalation techniques
• Ability to build strong, professional relationships with pupils who may struggle with trust and engagement
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to work

• Experience in an SEMH school, PRU or alternative provision
• Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism or ADHD
• Psychology, youth work or related background

• Full‑time, ongoing work in a supportive SEMH setting
