We are recruiting a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to work across the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) at Victoria House and the inpatient ward at The Orchard, Lancaster. The postholder will dedicate approximately 0.6 WTE to the community team and 0.4 WTE to the inpatient team.

• Provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment for adults in the community and inpatient settings.
• Lead on the development of clinical pathways and care plans across the sector.
• Supervise and support junior staff and trainee consultants.
• Join the on-call rota and receive additional remuneration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient‑centred care.

• MBBS or equivalent.
• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• On the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of interview.
• Section 12 approved or within 3 months of interview.
• Approved Clinician Status (AC) or within 3 months.

• Experience in adult community mental health and inpatient psychiatry.
• Experience leading cross‑sector clinical teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical and managerial judgement.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

• Competitive salary £109,725‑£145,478 per annum.
• 5% payment of basic salary over 2 years.
