An established and highly respected architectural practice based in Lancaster is seeking a talented Architectural Technician to join their team on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

With a strong regional reputation and a diverse portfolio of projects, the practice delivers thoughtful, context-driven design supported by high technical standards. Their work spans residential, heritage, community, and commercial projects, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of developments across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused individual who enjoys collaborating within a creative design environment and contributing to the successful delivery of well-considered architectural projects.

As an Architectural Technician, you will play an important role in supporting project delivery by producing high-quality technical information and ensuring designs are accurately translated into construction-ready documentation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed technical and construction drawings
• Developing accurate and compliant drawing packages in collaboration with architects and designers
• Utilising CAD software to support project development and delivery
• Ensuring all documentation complies with building regulations, technical standards, and construction requirements
• Supporting project coordination and contributing to the smooth progression of projects

Candidates should ideally already live within commuting distance of Lancaster.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability alongside a collaborative and proactive approach to project work.

You will ideally have:

• A strong understanding of architectural technology and construction principles
• Experience producing technical and construction drawings
• Proficiency in CAD software (experience with Vectorworks would be beneficial)
• Good knowledge of UK building regulations and technical standards
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• A degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline (preferred)
• Previous experience within the architecture or construction sector
