We are currently recruiting for the position of Shift Supervisor.
Shift – Saturday‑Monday 6a‑6p ResponsibilitiesThe Supervisor leads daily warehouse operations to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and service commitments are met. This role provides hands‑on leadership to associates, supports automation and material handling systems, and partners with management to drive performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Administer training and certification processes to ensure all associates can operate material handling equipment (MHE) and automated systems safely and productively.
- Manage automated and robotic equipment by ensuring adequate work is released to systems to support productivity and service level commitments.
- Monitor automation equipment performance, identify system interruptions or inefficiencies, and perform first‑level troubleshooting to restore operations or escalate issues as needed.
- Provide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance of the team and coordinate with the Area Manager to drive continuous improvement.
- Prioritize workload assignments and communicate priorities throughout the shift, working closely with the team to resolve day‑to‑day process problems.
- Lead the shift and foster positive employee relations through effective communication.
- Proactively report facility, equipment, vehicle, and automation maintenance issues to the Shift Manager to support uninterrupted operations.
- Actively solicit associate feedback to identify and resolve process issues, improving productivity, workflow efficiency, and effective use of automation systems.
- Monitor associate performance to ensure accuracy, quality, and productivity standards are met; provide coaching, mentoring, and training to support associate and team leader development.
- Exemplify safe work behaviors and champion safe work practices with all associates, including safe interaction with automated and robotic equipment.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1‑3 years of supervisory/management experience in a materials and logistics environment.
- Intimate knowledge of Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Inventory, and Material Handling operations, methods, and practices.
- Experience in supporting or managing automated or technology‑driven warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Proven leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, WMS systems, and productivity tracking tools.
- Ability to operate and train associates on warehouse equipment (forklift, deep reach, walkie, RF scanner) and interaction with automated systems.
