Job SummaryThe Program Manager is responsible for leading site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable performance in alignment with company policies and client expectations. The role drives continuous improvement, fosters team development, and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction through strategic planning, effective communication, and operational excellence.
CompensationBase pay: $120,000 – $140,000 per year (actual base compensation determined by experience and other objective factors).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement systems and procedures to manage operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably.
- Ensure operational compliance with company policies, client SLAs, and SOPs.
- Lead continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives across the operation.
- Monitor and achieve key performance indicators and quality system requirements.
- Apply effective communication and motivational techniques to lead, supervise, counsel, and discipline team members.
- Maintain high team morale and focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Provide growth and development opportunities through coaching and training.
- Act as a liaison to the General Manager, implementing and managing operational plans.
- Deliver timely and accurate customer analytics to support strategic initiatives.
- Communicate proactively across business units and organizational layers to ensure alignment and feedback.
- Lead the development and execution of communication strategies to promote company priorities.
- Support change‑management initiatives aligned with client strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain frequent communication with teams and working groups to ensure operational alignment with client and business needs.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for operational issues and concerns.
- Demonstrate leadership and sound business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing effective solutions.
- Ensure all team members are trained and efficient in required information systems to meet objectives.
- Purchase necessary computer software and hardware according to corporate IT policies.
- Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology.
- Develop proficiency in client systems.
- Manage high‑level customer service standards for all functions.
- Assure that client accounts receive required operational and administrative support.
- Maintain appropriate contact with all functions and respond to requests.
- Attend or lead meetings with key customers to discuss issues.
- Coordinate supplier/customer visits to the site.
- Promote positive client relationships through excellent service.
- Support the development of an annual operating budget.
- Develop and manage controls to ensure service levels meet cost, revenue, and profit objectives.
- Assist in ensuring budgeting and pricing activities comply with contract guidelines.
- Manage programs for maintaining company standards of sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, safety, and equipment.
- Ensure team members are trained on material handling equipment.
- Keep informed of new technology and make recommendations.
- Achieve safety goals by establishing a proactive and participative safety culture.
- Audit warehouse for compliance with safety, security, and quality principles.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory health and safety requirements.
- Work overtime as required by business demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage warehouse operations supervisors and support staff.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 7 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, or related environment.
- 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.
