The CSR is responsible for building rapport and trust with clients by delivering exceptional service consistently. Duties include accurate data entry of shipping and receiving information, order processing, and supporting efficient site operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Process and input all customer orders.
- Run and print shipments from WMS.
- Run stock reports to check product availability.
- Generate related paperwork and necessary information for work orders.
- Check orders for special requests.
- Expedite orders, trace as required, and notify customers of activity.
- Follow up with other departments to ensure service standards.
- Verify proper invoicing of accounts.
- Handle returned merchandise efficiently and provide proper credit.
- Maintain working relationships with customers by responding to inquiries and complaints.
- Act as liaison between warehouse and customer for account administration.
- Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents.
- Gather and maintain records related to shipping and receiving activities.
- Confirm receiving counts match packing lists and purchase orders.
- Prepare reports on customer service as required.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Operate computer terminal proficiently.
- Enter and verify data regarding orders, shipments, receipts, inventories, and adjustments.
- Oversee paperwork associated with orders and maintain files.
- Answer phone calls and operate office equipment.
- Greet customers and visitors.
- Answer incoming calls courteously and route properly.
- Assist callers with general information and inquiries.
- Direct visitors to appropriate department.
- Assist drivers at check‑in window various times during the day.
- Cross‑train in other administrative functions to support the site.
- Work overtime as required by business.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures from mild to moderate.
- 1‑3 years of warehouse/logistics support experience.
- 2‑3 years of customer service experience.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- Experience with WMS functions.
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills; business writing proficiency.
- Intermediate mathematical skills for inventory verification.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision, multi‑tasking, effective communication, adaptability to change.
- Occasional handling/fingering and sitting.
- Frequent bending.
- Constant walking and standing.
- Ability to lift 21‑50 pounds, reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat or kneel.
Low to moderate noise, rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
