Under limited supervision, is responsible for supervising the building while in use; evening hours 5 pm to 9:30 pm and weekends; coordinates use of the building for rentals and classes; opens and locks building after events; handles monies, receipts, deposits, minor janitorial duties, as well as other duties as directed by the Facility Manager.
Read, send, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner, including communication with parents, guardians, and internal staff.
Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and coworkers, providing accurate program information and addressing questions or concerns.
Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Assist with facility setup, breakdown, and basic cleaning related to program activities.
Observe, document, and report incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns to supervisors promptly.
Model professional behavior, positive attitudes, and appropriate conduct while serving as a role model for participants.
Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff to support daily operations and special events.
Assist with the planning, implementation, and supervision of recreation programs, including after-school programs, camps, special events, and other assigned activities.
Supervise program participants to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment at all times.
Use a computer and recreation management software to process registrations and payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate program records.
Handle cash and electronic transactions responsibly, following established cash-handling and accounting procedures.
Count, balance, and report daily receipts and assist with basic administrative tasks as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of Parks and Recreation programs.
