Overview

Under limited supervision, is responsible for supervising the building while in use; evening hours 5 pm to 9:30 pm and weekends; coordinates use of the building for rentals and classes; opens and locks building after events; handles monies, receipts, deposits, minor janitorial duties, as well as other duties as directed by the Facility Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Read, send, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner, including communication with parents, guardians, and internal staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and coworkers, providing accurate program information and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with facility setup, breakdown, and basic cleaning related to program activities.
  • Observe, document, and report incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Model professional behavior, positive attitudes, and appropriate conduct while serving as a role model for participants.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff to support daily operations and special events.
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and supervision of recreation programs, including after-school programs, camps, special events, and other assigned activities.
  • Supervise program participants to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment at all times.
  • Use a computer and recreation management software to process registrations and payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate program records.
  • Handle cash and electronic transactions responsibly, following established cash-handling and accounting procedures.
  • Count, balance, and report daily receipts and assist with basic administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of Parks and Recreation programs.
Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent
