Revit Drafter

Job Summary

Responsible for producing technical rough-in drawings for multiple internal clients using software applications such as AutoCAD and Auto Desk Revit. Effectively coordinating with the Project Management teams to work through any issues or questions that may arise. Assisting with occasional BIM coordination with VDC Engineers ensuring compliancy with the layout of the kitchen and Utilities. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about drafting, passionate about detailing and is looking to elevate their career.

Responsibilities

• Creates technical drawings with heavy MEP concentration (BIM/VDC Meetings)
• Follows set drafting standards and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Collaborates with team members to review and revise drawing based on feedback
• Displays high level of effective communication skills both internally and externally
• Participates in training programs and professional development opportunities

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

Experience

• Associate degree in Architectural Drafting preferred but not required
• Professional experience in Architectural related work strongly preferred
• Professional experience in an MEP related work preferred but not required
• Previous knowledge of Food Service Equipment is preferred but not required

Desired Traits & Skills

• Proven self-starter capable of performing / prioritizing multiple tasks effectively
• MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,etc)
• 1-5 years of Professional Autodesk Revit experience is required for this position
• 1-5 year of Professional Autodesk CAD experience is required for this position
• Ability to identify and solve simple problems and challenges
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, discuss projects, and collaborate
• Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage workload and meet deadlines
• Ability to focus on the details while understanding the broader context of projects and task
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
