Requirements
We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician with at least two years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Candidates with light commercial HVAC experience or exposure to rooftop units are strongly preferred . The ideal technician is reliable, safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductless mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, system inspections, and tune-ups.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
- Provide accurate assessments and recommendations to homeowners.
- Install replacement parts and components as needed.
- Document all work performed and maintain clear, detailed service reports.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain findings, repairs, and maintenance needs.
- Follow all company procedures, safety policies, and industry regulations.
- Assist with light commercial service calls as needed (preferred but not required).
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours or emergency service.
- Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC service experience.
- Some commercial or light commercial HVAC experience preferred (e.g., RTUs, split systems, basic controls).
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal required).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently in the field.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments.
