Job SummaryA facility in Lancaster, OH is seeking a dedicated Emergency Room RN for a 13-week night shift assignment. As a key member of the emergency services team, you will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement care for a diverse patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric. KeyResponsibilities
- Acute Care Delivery: Provide high-quality emergency nursing care based on rapid assessment needs and established clinical pathways.
- Patient & Family Education: Facilitate education from the moment of admission through the discharge process to ensure patient safety and compliance.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain thorough, concise, and accurate electronic records within the Cerner EMR system.
- Care Coordination: Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status; implement physician orders with precision.
- Medication Safety: Administer medications and perform therapeutic treatments accurately and safely.
- Leadership & Delegation: Supervise co-workers and delegate role-appropriate tasks to ensure efficient unit flow.
- Education: Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
- Licensure: Active Ohio State RN License must be currently active.
- Certifications:
- BLS/BCLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, ability to handle multiple priorities, and independent decision-making skills.
- Travel Rule: Candidates must have a permanent address 50 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler.
- EMR System: Cerner proficiency is required.
- Holiday Coverage: No holiday coverage required for this specific requisition.
- Physical Demand: Medium work (exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally).
