2nd Shift Specialized Manufacturing Operator

We are hiring a Specialized Manufacturing Operator for our manufacturing site. The role operates pre-expander equipment to provide expanded resins at specified densities to meet production requirements.

Pay: $17.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

• Operation of batch pre-expander, continuous expander, and/or raw material tipper, as assigned.
• Unload EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) materials received in bulk trailers using the vacuum system and load into correct storage silo(s).
• Maintain accurate material inventory board(s).
• Retrieve raw material(s) from inventory for expansion.
• Inspect expansion equipment prior to operation to ensure safe operating condition.
• Ensure proper location and storage of expanded bead in the designated storage hopper(s).
• Record expansion data on Bead Storage Location board and report activity to Inventory Control Specialist.
• Report raw material usage on the Raw Material Daily Report and deliver to Inventory Control for resin consumption data entry.
• Perform sampling tests on raw materials and deliver results to the Quality team.
• Confirm expanded bead has passed quality inspection(s) and is approved for production.
• Comply with legal environmental and safety requirements.
• Know environmental aspects, impacts, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Observation: visually inspect parts during production and determine compliance with quality standards.
• Reading Comprehension: understand written instructions in work documents.
• Active Listening: give full attention, ask clarifying questions.
• Operation Monitoring: watch gauges, dials, or indicators to ensure machines work properly.
• Learning Strategies: select and use training methods appropriate for learning new tasks.
• Manual Material Handling: use pallet jack or designated equipment to move parts to/from workstation.
• Speaking: communicate effectively with others.

• Possible intense physical exertion in temperature and humidity ranges.
• Stand, bend, and stretch for extended periods during the work shift.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs.

Up to $15,000 relocation package for qualified candidates. Available only to U.S. citizens who are not current or former Ohio residents.
