Position: 2nd Shift Specialized Manufacturing Operator

Job Summary

Currently, we are hiring a Specialized Manufacturing Operator for our manufacturing site. As a Specialized Manufacturing Operator, you are responsible for operating the company’s pre-expander equipment to provide adequate expanded resins in the designated and specified densities to meet the facilities production requirements.

Pay: $17.00

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm

• Operation of batch pre-expander, continuous expander, and/or raw material tipper, as assigned.
• Unload Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) materials received in bulk trailers using the designated vacuum system, ensuring bulk material is loaded into the correct storage silo(s).
• Ensure information on material inventory boards is accurate and up to date.
• Retrieve raw materials from inventory for expansion.
• Inspect expansion equipment prior to operation to ensure safe operating condition.
• Ensure proper location and storage of expanded bead in designated storage hopper(s).
• Record expansion data on Bead Storage Location board and report expansion activity to Inventory Control Specialist.
• Report raw material usage on the Raw Material Daily Report and deliver that report to Inventory Control or other designated personnel to enter resin consumption data into the company’s inventory control system(s).
• Perform sampling tests on raw materials and deliver resulting data to the Quality team.
• Ensure expanded bead has passed appropriate quality inspections and is approved for use in production.
• Comply with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area; know the environmental aspects and impacts of activities.
• Follow Environmental and Safety policies and comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to use manual pallet jack or other material handling equipment to move finished goods parts and/or components.

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in varying temperatures and humidity.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
