Overview
The Rheumatology Sales Consultant is responsible for implementing the Rheumatology sales and marketing plans to assure maximum distribution and market penetration of BIPI ILD products within BIPI guidelines, policies and directives. The incumbent will conduct business with key clinics and targeted Rheumatologist Clinicians and Allied Healthcare Professionals. Additional responsibilities include sales activities in teaching and community hospitals, federal and military hospitals.
The Rheumatology Sales Consultant will manage a geography that may require overnight travel and occasional night and weekend meetings.

Duties & Responsibilities- Maintains and utilizes product knowledge and selling skills to influence targeted health care professionals to support the use of BIPI promoted products. Executes brand strategies and business plans to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing message.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication, cooperation, and coordination with internal BIPI employees.
- Develops clinic and customer pre-call plans to meet health care professionals’ (HCP) and account needs, builds valued discussions around HCP needs and opportunities, fosters HCP network development and communication, and provides timely follow-up discussions with HCPs. Uses appropriate BIPI sales training techniques and facilitates exchange of scientific knowledge to provide enhanced value and trust to HCPs.
- Identifies key business needs and activities, establishes business plans to address territory needs, and involves Sr. Associate Director, Clinical Educator, Payer Relations Managers, and other BI internal support personnel in development and execution of strategies.
- Analyzes territory information to optimize HCP calls and monitors local market conditions to respond to changes impacting the business.
- Develops plans to maximize Regional and National Speaker and other regional programs, adjusts implementation plans, and creates opportunities that align with territory and brand tactics.
- Utilizes sales data and analysis to plan activity, monitors literature use, maintains account and HCP records, and completes all administrative responsibilities in a timely fashion. Completes all sales training requirements.
- Identifies and develops Regional and National thought leaders, innovators, and advocates to support BIPI products, providing feedback to speakers and attendees and developing plans to grow speaker networks among HCPs.
- Manages programs and budgets to stay within BI standards and works with Sr. Associate Director and Key Account Manager to optimize use of regional and national speakers and company resources.
- Performs all company business in accordance with regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, DEA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA) and company policy. Reports violations immediately and maintains high ethical and professional standards.
- Provides consistent, timely administrative duties and responsibilities, including expense and call reports, communications, and personal development plans with biannual reviews with the Sr. Associate Director.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of BIPI products and the marketplace, translating knowledge into customer-focused sales presentations and providing solutions-based customer interactions. Responds to customer requests for expert information to build trust and value.
Candidate will be hired at the level commensurate with experience and/or skills.
Rheumatology Sales Consultant I- Bachelor’s Degree required
