• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department, and assist customers on the store floor as needed. The Utilities Clerk will properly bag groceries for customers, carry out groceries if requested, and ensure the store is clean and safe at all times. Responsibilities include maintaining and retrieving store carts, running price checks, assisting with go‑backs, check stand upkeep, and removing waste from the parking area.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.
