The Tortilleria Clerk operates under direct supervision to provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers. Responsibilities include cleaning, filling, and rotating tortilla displays, and assisting in the preparation of various tortillas and masa for the department. This fast‑paced grocery store environment requires physical activity such as walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting up to 60 pounds.

• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain clean and organized tortilla displays
• Assist in the preparation of a variety of tortillas and masa
• Follow food safety procedures and maintain a Food Handler Card

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with general public and co‑workers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Lifting requirements: regularly lift 25 lbs, frequently lift 45 lbs, occasionally 60 lbs
