We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cook to join our team at Tacos El Superior, a fast‑paced Authentic Mexican fast‑food restaurant. The Cook will be responsible for preparing delicious and authentic Mexican dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food items such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and restaurant specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cooking stations and utensils.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.
  • Assist in the prep work, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces and salsas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quick service.
  • Ensure the correct portioning of food to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Handle special dietary requests or modifications to dishes as per customer needs.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, and workstations after each shift.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating kitchen appliances.
  • Keep up to date with food trends and incorporate new ideas to improve menu offerings.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a cook in a fast‑food or restaurant setting, preferably with Mexican cuisine.
  • Knowledge of traditional Mexican cooking methods and recipes.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary training is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and fast‑paced environment.
