Work will be primarily performed at a designated field worksite location based out of a central Race Communications worksite. Occasional travel to and work from other Race offices or other off-site locations will be required.
Compensation: $32-$36 USD per hour.
Schedule:
5 days x 8 hours. Benefits: 100% company-paid medical and dental benefits; free fiber internet service.

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of field technicians and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of field services, including installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and effective field operations.
Qualifications and Experience- Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- A valid driver’s license, subject to successful verification through a DMV check, is mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications field operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Solid understanding of telecom networks, equipment, and technologies, including fiber optics, copper, wireless systems, and related infrastructure
- Proficient in Salesforce with experience in managing and utilizing CRM systems for field operations and data management
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension) for job performance and workplace communication
- Proficiency in Spanish language desirable
- Proficient use of MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; teleconferencing applications
- Ability to distinguish colors and audible tones
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of field technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear goals, and provide feedback to enhance skills and performance
- Promote teamwork and a strong work ethic to achieve operational objectives
- Plan and execute field service activities, optimize resource allocation, routing, and service schedules
- Coordinate with the Dispatch Manager to receive work orders and schedule technicians for installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Monitor daily progress, provide support, and resolve challenges
- Ensure field operations comply with company policies, safety guidelines, and industry regulations
- Conduct inspections and audits to assess compliance and quality of service
- Implement corrective actions and training as needed
- Provide technical guidance to field technicians, assist in complex installations, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and share knowledge with the team
- Collaborate with Customer Support to address inquiries, concerns, and escalations related to field operations
- Ensure exceptional customer service delivery and resolve issues promptly
- Generate regular reports on field operations performance, metrics, productivity, and service level achievements
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement and implement action plans
- Operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, excavators, and trencher
- Climb poles up to 40 feet; operate bucket trucks with 32' ladders (Aerial ONLY)
- Deploy and remove traffic control devices to ensure safety
- Adhere to weight capacity limits provided by manufacturers
- Bucket Truck: 350-pound maximum load;
Ladders: 300-pound maximum load
- Maintain vehicle/equipment pre-op/post-op readiness
- Maintain a clean driving record as defined by fleet insurance
- Spends significant time traveling by vehicle to various locations, indoors and outdoors
- May work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as needed
- Observe hazards and report concerns; participate in investigations as needed
- Complete pre-job safety planning tools and required safety paperwork
- Understand and respond to safety hazards and warning devices
- Uphold a secure work environment by adhering to regulations and company policies
