Ava Med Inc. is a leading Healthcare Staffing Agency specializing in placing qualified providers throughout California State Correctional Facilities. We are currently seeking a Certified Recreational Therapist for a full‑time assignment at the correctional facility in Lancaster, CA.

Location:

Lancaster, CA

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday 7am‑3:30pm
Rate: $60/hr (1099 rate available)

• Develop and implement specialized recreation therapy services for Patient‑Inmates.
• Provide therapeutic interventions that promote social interaction and healthy use of leisure time.
• Support Patient‑Inmates or Youth in preparing for reentry into the general population or other treatment levels.
• Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.
• Coordinate treatment services with primary clinicians, correctional counselors, and custody staff.
• Evaluate recreation therapy needs with emphasis on:
• Activities of daily living.
• Communication and social skills.
• Physical exercise and wellness.
• Development of positive coping strategies.
