Job Description
Antelope Valley College invites applications for the adjunct (temporary, part‑time) faculty applicant pool for the Counseling position of Disabled Services Specialist.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Director of the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD), provide disability and academic counseling to address the individual educational needs and concerns of students with disabilities.
- Instruct students in the assigned discipline.
- Assignments may include teaching courses during the day, evening, online courses, and/or off‑campus sites.
- Master’s in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling, or the equivalent.
- For a bachelor’s degree in one of the listed fields, a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification.
