RDA – Community Dental Health Coordinator

Location - Lancaster, CA

Pay - $25-$28.00/ hr

Overview

Serve as a vital link between patients and dental care, helping individuals overcome barriers to access while improving oral and overall health. This role blends clinical dental assisting with patient education, care coordination, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage high-risk patients, including those with diabetes or HIV, to promote oral health and integrate dental care into overall health plans.
  • Coordinate patient navigation, education, appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and case management with medical and dental teams.
  • Develop and implement program initiatives using evidence-based strategies, track outcomes, and present results to leadership.
  • Provide chairside dental support as needed, including radiographs, sealants, coronal polishing, impressions, and assisting dentists during procedures.
Qualifications
  • Active RDA license in California with required certifications: CPR/BLS, Coronal Polish, Sealants, Infection Control, Radiation Safety, and CA Dental Practice Act.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication, motivational interviewing, and patient education skills.
  • Experience in dental assisting, patient care coordination, or community health, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with capacity to multitask in clinical and program management settings.
