Road Export Operations Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team within Export Operations. This role involves managing freight quotations, coordinating international shipments, handling customs procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with partners and hauliers.

Road Export Operations Responsibilities

Quoting customers directly for freight costs based on their requirements
Liaising with their Barcelona partner to deliver high levels of customer service
Trailer load planning
Arranging and completing UK export customs documentation
Liaising with UK hauliers to arrange collections
Building and developing strong relationships with customs authorities and overseas partners
Supporting the French, German, Portugal, and wider Spain departments during busy periods, holidays, or sickness cover

Road Export Operations Requirements

Experience in freight forwarding is advantageous but not essential
Experience in export shipments
Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Excel
Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with partners, customers, and hauliers
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while remaining self-motivated
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyBenefits

Salary increase of £1,000 after 3 months (subject to performance)
