Responsibilities
- Be responsible for delivery of a customer focused, time sensitive and comprehensive Digital Identity service.
- Adhere to the corporate level governance model for Digital Identity.
- Deliver the service and meet specified targets in operational Digital Identity activities.
- Have a detailed understanding of RBAC and PBAC models.
- Confirm and verify applicant's identity through careful examination of identification documents and handle queries about verification.
- Undertake internal Digital Identity audits as required.
- Act as Digital Identity specialist, providing expert advice on all matters related to Digital Identity and assisting with project implementation.
- Ensure effective implementation of national and local Smartcard policy across the organisation.
- Deliver key delegated Digital Identity elements of projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to identifying key priorities for customers in line with local and national strategy and initiatives.
- Provide accurate management information from Digital Identity, IT and Human Resources systems.
- Identify risks and escalation of appropriate issues to Senior Management.
- Perform regular audit of Digital Identity systems and processes.
- Notify the Digital Identity Manager of low equipment stock levels.
- Provide access to all other systems that the Digital Identity department is responsible for administering.
- Administration diploma, A-levels or equivalent, or educated to GCSE level (5 minimum at A-C) and 3 years suitable experience.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the local health community.
- Experience of using IT equipment and software including MS Word and Excel.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels.
- Able to explain DI matters to non‑DI staff.
- Ability to plan and organise a number of activities and continually reprioritise to meet changing deadlines and in response to unforeseen problems or events.
- Understanding of a range of work procedures and practices, including non‑routine.
- Able to analyse a wide variety of sometimes complex situations and make decisions within guidelines.
- Able to act independently & show initiative within a changing and demanding environment.
- Able to remain calm, polite, tactful and persuasive when problems occur.
- Excellent standards of administration and record keeping, ensuring attention to detail.
- Excellent Excel skills with the ability to review and analyse large quantities of data.
- Advanced keyboard skills requiring both speed and accuracy.
- Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Able to make own travel arrangements.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or similar.
- Experience of working in a Registration Authority.
- Specialist knowledge of DI processes.
- Understanding and knowledge of health service information systems and the role of Information Governance.
