Job Description

Manages virtually (by phone, electronically or social media) a set of assigned or acquired accounts. Builds, maintains and forecasts sales pipeline, creates and develops account plans. Works closely with company outside sales, channel partners and/or end customers to move sales opportunities to closure. May generate and qualify leads to create new sales opportunities. Sets and executes sales strategy for assigned portion of account, territory or industry vertical.

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts, developing trusted relationships and delivering real business value.
  • Create and execute account plans that align customer needs with HPE’s technology solutions.
  • Generate, qualify, and close new leads—either directly or alongside field sales and channel partners.
  • Stay close to your clients’ priorities, understanding their challenges and positioning HPE as the trusted partner that helps them achieve more.
  • Use insights and analytics to build your sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and drive results.
  • Collaborate across teams—marketing, technical, and partner organizations—to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What You Bring
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)—ideally in business, technology, or a related field.
  • Around 2–6 years’ experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing roles.
  • A strong interest in technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
  • Solid understanding of how to build, retain, and grow customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • A collaborative mindset—you thrive in a team and lift others as you go.
  • Experience with CRM or Salesforce tools to track and manage customer interactions.
  • A proactive, “hunter” mentality balanced with the ability to nurture long-term relationships.
