Casual Retail Assistant

About the Role

An exciting job opportunity has arisen to join our team at Martin Mere Wetland Centre as a Casual Trading Assistant. We are looking for a versatile individual to become an integral part of an inspirational and vibrant trading environment.

• Assist in all retail and catering areas as required.
• Give a warm welcome to every visitor in the visitor centre, admissions area, shop and café, demonstrating exceptional standards of customer service.
• Serve visitors at the till purchasing goods from the shop or café; take orders, make hot drinks, serve our seasonal menu and clear tables.
• Help in the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times.
• Support visitors at admissions with entry, membership and a warm welcome to our wetlands.

• Friendly personality and a commitment to providing an exceptional visitor experience.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous experience of working in retail and/or catering is preferred but not required; full training will be provided.
