. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this fast‑paced retail environment, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
- Providing great natural service by knowing and serving customers with passion.
- Encouraging customers to give feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
- Working across all areas of the store (online, tills, replenishment, vending, stock routines) to meet customer needs.
- Putting into practice training to ensure safe working practices.
- Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Being knowledgeable about store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
- Living company values, making everyone feel welcome and following policies.
- Clocking in and out at shift start and end for accurate pay.
- Keeping safety and security procedures followed, wearing safety equipment where available.
- Following the Think 25 policy when serving age‑restricted products to all customers.
- Responding quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self‑service checkouts, explaining actions to the customer.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, organised store, keeping aisles clear of congestion.
- Running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager when required.
- Following all training to keep the store safe and legal.
- If the store has a Post Office Local, carrying out day‑to‑day post office operations and passing the required background check; failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
