Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace Blackpool has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Inspector.
- Full Time, Permanent Position
- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm / Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm
- Job location:
Blackpool Business Park, Amy Johnson Way, Blackpool, FY4 2RP - Unionised site – works in partnership with Unite the Union.
- This role is governed by ITAR, restrictions may apply
Responsible for all aspects of product and process and support when required. To support the internal decision-making process specific to those duties and responsibilities as detailed below. Will provide relevant hands-on support to all operational team members.

- Take a lead role in providing direct hands-on support to the team utilising relevant equipment. This will include but not be limited to:
- 1st off
- Live product queries
- MRB disposition and support feedback
- Customer Escape returns
Academic:
- Relevant inspection Quality Assurance / Quality Control qualifications or experience
- GCSE or equivalent including Maths & English
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position within the aerospace or automotive industry sectors
- Competent in the use of measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and inspection reports
- Experience with FAIR desirable
Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication
- Numeracy and literacy skills, with knowledge of Microsoft software
Abilities:
- Working under pressure and flexible
- Self-driven and uses own initiative
