Housekeeper - AMU

Position Overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible, hardworking individual with good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues. Experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided. You should be comfortable working as part of a team and being directed, but may also be expected to take the lead in some aspects.

• Ensuring the unit is kept to a high standard of cleanliness in keeping with infection control guidelines.
• Ensuring stock levels are maintained and stock takes are completed.
• Reporting faults, monitoring repairs and maintenance.
• Ensuring general tidiness of the unit is maintained to provide a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Attending mandatory training.

• Willing to undertake further training.
• IT skills and previous experience of working in a hospital environment, and the ability to work within a team.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
