Position: Corporate Engagement Lead  (Sefton and South & West )

We are looking for an ambitious and relationship-driven Corporate Engagement Lead to grow and develop corporate partnerships across Southport, Sefton, West Lancashire, South Lancashire, Chorley and surrounding areas.

This role will focus on developing new partnerships in areas where Galloways already delivers services, but where corporate engagement is currently underdeveloped. The role is income-generating, whilst also building meaningful, long-term partnerships that support our mission.

This is an outward-facing role, involving networking, attending and arranging events, presenting confidently, partnership development, and income generation, and involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders. It is a chance for someone to join the team, bring new ideas and help to grow the charity’s supporter base.

Key Responsibilities Corporate Partnership Development & Income Generation
  • Develop and deliver a pipeline of new corporate partnerships across the designated geographic areas.
  • Secure corporate support through sponsor ships, partnerships, events, networking opportunities, gifts in kind, and membership of the 1867 Corporate Club.
  • Achieve agreed income targets year on year.
  • Convert relationships into long-term, sustainable partnerships aligned with Galloways’ values and strategic priorities.
  • Plan and deliver corporate networking events within the region to raise awareness and generate new leads with a variety of organisations and businesses, including but not limited to local opticians, private medical companies, optometrists etc.
  • Increase attendance and engagement from the region at existing corporate fundraising events or replicate successful models locally.
  • Lead on securing sponsorship for events, activities and services using agreed sponsorship packages.
  • Play a leading role in planning and delivering corporate activity linked to Galloways’ 160th anniversary in 2027, including the potential development of a conference involving sponsors, speakers and partners.
Corporate Club & Community Engagement
  • Grow membership of the 1867 Corporate Club within the region.
  • Create opportunities for corporate partners to engage with Galloways’ work through visits, talks, volunteering and events.
  • Act as a regional ambassador for Galloways, building visibility and credibility across local business and healthcare communities.
Collaboration & Internal Working
  • Work closely with the existing Corporate Engagement Lead to ensure a coordinated and joined-up approach.
  • Collaborate with services teams to understand delivery and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications team to promote partnerships, events and impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, income and pipeline using agreed systems.
  • Manage and support a small team of volunteers to ensure strong community event coverage across our catchment areas, helping to scale fundraising opportunities while amplifying the voices and lived experience of people affected by sight loss.
  • Own and manage budgets for activities and service areas, including preparing profit and loss statements.
  • Provide analysis of the performance of fundraising activities, recognising future opportunities and making decisions on the effectiveness and worth of events.
  • Ensure that all aspects of Galloways fundraising activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant legislation, Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice, General Data Protection Regulation and Galloways policies.
Additional Requirements
  • To contribute positively to the success of all Galloways strategic aims.
  • Work with departments across the organisation to understand how they work, to develop partnerships, raise awareness and maximise/promote income-generating opportunities and encourage individuals and organisations to become supporters of the organisation.
  • Uphold the values of Galloways and behave in a professional manner at all times to support our vision and mission and comply with internal policies and procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Value equality and diversity and cooperate with colleagues, encourage and support positive working relationships (both internally and externally) and foster a culture of respect and consideration at work.
  • Work with your line manager to ensure your wellbeing is paramount along with the wellbeing of others whilst at work.
  • Be willing to travel within the area and the community we work within.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Ensure value for money and best use of resources in all activities related to the post.
  • Act as a ‘brand ambassador’ to promote the correct use of the brand both internally and externally throughout all forms of communications.
  • Any other reasonable duties as may reasonably be required by your line manager.
