Position: Operational Excellence Lead (Permanent)

Overview

Would you like to work with one of the most well-known ingredients manufacturers in the UK?

We are seeking an experienced and driven Operational Excellence Lead to evaluate and improve operational activities at a flagship production facility in Merseyside. This role is key to ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective production of high-quality ingredient products.

The Role

The successful Operational Excellence Lead will:

* collaborate with manufacturing colleagues to identify improvement opportunities, utilising data analysis, process, observations and industry best practices and implementing flight plans to delivery.

* drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and quality across business processes by implementing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen

* Provide analytic support to enable an understanding of Current state, baseline performance and capture existing issues.

* Develop and upskill colleagues in lean manufacturing principles, tools and techniques.

* Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

The Candidate

The successful Operational Excellence Lead will have:

* Food and Drink Manufacturing experience essential.

* Proven track record in operational improvement, process transformation, or project management, often requiring a degree in engineering or business.

* In-depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.

* Experience in a previous Operational Excellence Lead role, lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
